I'm an ecologist interested in researching and teaching about the many ways in which humans can change the natural world. More specifically, my research focus on:
- The impacts of forest fires and forest degradation on tropical biodiversity and carbon dynamics
- Forest management and conservation planning in temperate forests
- Impacts of invasive species on insect and plant communities in North America
